INFORMATION AND EVENT TIMETABLE
- The 2010 event will start/finish from Pencoed Technology Park (units 2-6), Felindre Meadows, Pencoed, CF35 5HY. South Wales. Map ref: SS 97041 80655. There are ample car parking facilities at the nearby Sony factory.
- The riders will be able to depart betwee 8am and 9.30am, (9.30 onwards for Corto riders), in no particular numerical order, basically as the riders arrive. Riders will depart in groups of 100 at 2 minute intervals.
- There will be 11 motorcycle marshals of whom two will be "first responders" and 5 ambulances in attendance, 3 paramedics with the full range of drugs and equipment on rapid response cars to support the ambulance cover.
- Riders will have full "Mavic" mechanical support, at the start area prior to the event and via the famous yellw cars - on route.
- Pedro's will provide a free Green Bike Detailing Service. Entrants bikes can be cleaned and lubed with the Pedro's range of eco-friendly bicycle Care products.
- Toilet facilities will be sited at the car parks, start/finish and the feedstations.
- High5 will once again supply the energy drink.
- There will be split timing points on both 190 & 130km routes.
- We are planning to have free massage services for riders at the finish.
- For Goodness Shakes the Verenti Dragon Ride official recovery drink will be available free to all finishers.
- UCI International Commissaires will be in attendance .
**Timing chips and riders numbers will be sent out by post prior to the event. No registration is required, just turn upon the day and ride.**

Entries Close (if not already full by this date). All rider transfers to reach us by this date. (International entries will be accepted up to the weekend of the event).

Riders start packs and timing chips will be posted out to each entrant.

- New style timing chips attached to bike number. Speeding up the process of starting and finishing the Verenti Dragon Ride will employ an all new timing system. Using an all-in-one bike number and chip design there will no longer be any queues to hand back timing chips at the end of a gruelling day in the saddle. Now you don’t even have to return your timing chip after the ride or post it back if you can’t attend.
BIKE NUMBER/CHIP MUST ME MOUNTED ON THE HANDLEBARS - PLEASE DO NOT WRAP NUMBERS AROUND HEAD TUBE AS THIS WILL LIMIT THE ACCURACY OF THE CHIP AND YOU MAY NOT GET TIMED - Entry packs were all dispatched on the 25th May. VERENTI BIKES - OUR TITLE SPONSOR
Verenti is a new bike brand, its name has its origins in the French and Latin word “verite” literally meaning 'Truth'. To avoid any trademark issues (sadly experienced with Kiron) the spelling has been changed slightly.
The first creation from the Verenti design team is a truly unique range of six sportive bikes. The Verenti sportive bike range will cover entry level alloy models up to an exclusive custom carbon lugged bike, The Rhigos (named after one of the climbs on the Dragon Ride). All of the bikes will share special geometry design and specifications to ensure that during a 7 hour ride the last 45 minutes is as pleasurable as the first without compromising speed and performance.
